Suneung: The day silence falls over South Korea

This mini-documentary and the accompanying online piece was produced for the BBC. It tells the story of Suneung; South Korea's hellish university exam which has re-shaped Korea's population pyramid, is considered one of the causes of the falling fertility levels and every year for a few hours grounds all airplanes in Korea. The film explores the human cost of the exam and what it means to be a Korean teenager in high school.
